What makes solution-focused hypnotherapy different?
Unlike traditional counselling, in solution-focused psychotherapy, we look at what the client would like to achieve rather than dwelling on the problems which caused clients to seek help. Hypnosis is a natural state using guided relaxation where the mind can unwind and focus on suggestions that may be useful to you in your healing process.

We focus on the present and future and not on the past. Hypnosis reduces anxiety with relaxation and visualisation, where the client can focus on the positive aspects of their life. Clients even remark on how enjoyable and relaxing sessions are.

During sessions
Our sessions involve gathering information and a brief discussion on how the brain works.

The process helps you think using your ‘Intellectual Brain’. When we think from this part of our brain, we usually get things right in life. It helps us make logical decisions and allows us to assess situations properly. Of course, we can’t always change the events in our lives, but we can change how we choose to think about them with practice.

During a state of hypnosis, you are more open to new ideas and approaches to learning. By accessing these responses, we are able to determine which of these are acceptable and which are unwanted and possibly aiding your anxiety and depression.

We like to address the positives during sessions by asking questions like ‘What’s been good?’ – establishing positive thought patterns helps you cope with life between sessions. Then, we’ll explore how these positive things make you feel, helping you visualise small steps towards your new goals that become more achievable with the help of hypnotherapy.

We will supply relaxation audio to use between sessions – we believe that this helps to relax, but it also reinforces the benefits of your hypnotherapy.
