Welcome to Feeling Free Hypnotherapy’s first blog.

Hi there I’m Nicola. The owner and therapist at Feeling Free Hypnotherapy. I first started my hypnotherapy journey as a client in need of support for my mental health.

I had been feeling drained, unwell and having periods of time off work sick. I decided to have some hypnotherapy sessions and began feeling more positive, manage everyday challenges and looking forward to making plans for the future. I felt less anxious and started enjoying things again.

Following on from this success I decided to have further hypnotherapy sessions for my phobia of flying, fast forward three years- Just recently, I was able to travel via aeroplane using my own audio for relaxation during the flights, these helped me to feel calm and in control. It is because of the solution- focused hypnotherapy that I received, that I can achieve things I never believed possible before.

I am testament to the power of positive reinforcements through the practice of solution-focused hypnotherapy and it is because of my personal experiences with the practice of the therapy that I found the inspiration to re-train as a therapist and help others take control of their fears and negative thoughts.

What is solution-focused hypnotherapy?

Solution-focused hypnotherapy is a collaborative process that involves talking therapy. We use a powerful and effective combination of psychotherapy with hypnosis. It is designed to calm the mind and allow you to take control of your feelings. Instead of problem solving, we work with you to form solution building qualities, that ensure you focus on current circumstances and future hopes. This means that there will be no cause for a therapist to do any ‘digging’ into your past. We only work by looking forward to the events to come, as opposed to worrying about the ones that have past.
